Los Pirineos
Los Pirineos
The Baraona family has a long history of producing coffee, making Diego Baraona a 5th generation coffee producer. He took over the family farm in 2020 after his father passed away. Diego decided to continue working on his father’s and family legacy and is now, not only producing high quality coffees like his father but taking it to a new level. Their dedication to cultivating interesting varieties and meticulous processing methods has established Los Pirineos as a strong name in the world wide coffee market.
This coffee is named "Elite," a tribute to the 90-year-old Bourbon trees on Diego’s farm, a name given by his father to honor their heritage. This lot underwent a natural process where the cherries were picked and sorted before being put to dry on raised bed. This results in a very lively coffee with notes of forest fruits and high quality dark chocolate.
We have been fans of the Baraona family operations in El Salvador for years so we are excited to share this coffee with you.
