Romero Roque

Our partner Osito, has been working hard these last five years to build a presence in Mexico. They hope to not only find some of the best coffees that Oaxaca, Chiapas and Puebla can offer but hope to create meaningful opportunities for farmers and communities.

This standout lot comes from Augustin and Ricardo Romero Roque. Their 2-hectare farm lies in the remote area of San Francisco Ozolotepec, deep in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca. As a mostly closed Zapotec community, where few speak Spanish as their first language, Ozolotepec has still established itself as a hotspot for beautiful washed Typica and Bourbon.

This is the first release of 2 lots that we got from this community as their coffees keep amazing us. Expect a clean cup with a syrupy, round mouthfeel and flavors of mandarin and almond. Perfect for those crisp winter mornings.
