Test Roast

To get to the ideal roasting profile, there is a lot of testing involved.

This is coffee that for some reason does not meet our quality standards. But it’s still tasty, high quality coffee so it would be a waste to throw away.

Usually the reason is that the roast is slightly off target, so it can be a touch too light or too dark. Or it can be coffees where we’ve been experimenting with new roast profiles.

We sell this coffee at cost or sometimes at a small loss, this way we can make sure that all of our other coffees meet the highest quality standards.

We do not specify which coffee is in the bag since it is usually a blend of different batches and roast dates.
